# Paper trading

> The Fincept Paper account: books, orders, positions, trades and equity curves. No real money.

Toolset `paper`: 21 tools. List them all with `?toolsets=paper`, or let the agent find them with `fincept_search_tools`. Full descriptions and input schemas: `fincept_describe_tool`.

| `paper_get_account_summary` | The Fincept Paper account totalled across its main book and every sleeve in the base currency: equity, cash, unrealised, today's realised, day and total P\&L, margin used, open orders, positions, exposure by asset class and currency, top 5 positions, and each book's id, name, sleeve\_key and equity. | Read, core |
| `paper_ensure_account` | Find or create the user's Fincept Paper account and its main book (an existing account is returned unchanged and the arguments ignored). | Write |
| `paper_list_books` | Every paper book of the user (main book, sleeves and user books) with its settings, positions, today's order book, its 100 most recent trades and trade statistics. | Read |

**Type:** Read tools only read. Write tools change your account; Delete tools remove something from it. `core` tools are listed by default. `credits` tools can spend credits; see [credits](/reference/toolsets/credits).
