# Apply a fitted regime model

> Use data.model of a regime fit without refitting: decode new or recent data into regimes with smoothed or real-time filtered probabilities, score it (log-likelihood, AIC/BIC, emission densities), and simulate regime scenarios.

Toolset `regime_inference`: 2 tools.

| Tool | What it does | Notes |

| `regime_decode` | Applies a fitted model (data.model of any regime\_ fit tool) to new or recent data without refitting: the data gets the model's transform, scaling and buckets. | |
| `regime_simulate` | Draws n\_paths paths of n\_steps periods from a fitted model (data.model of a regime\_ fit tool): each period's regime from the transition matrix, its observation from that regime's emission (in the data's units; counts or symbol codes for discrete models). | |
