# Technical indicators

> Simple, smoothed (Wilder) and exponential moving averages, Bollinger bands, relative strength index, MACD, and the trend or seasonally adjusted series from a classical additive or multiplicative decomposition.

Toolset `quant_technicals`: 2 tools.

| Tool | What it does | Notes |

| `quant_technical` | Technical indicator of a dated price series: simple, Wilder-smoothed or exponential moving average, Bollinger bands (price, middle, lower, upper), relative strength index or MACD, over a window of observations or a tenor where the indicator has one. | |
| `quant_trend_seasonal` | Trend or seasonally adjusted version of a dated series from a classical decomposition (moving-average trend, average seasonal pattern per position in the cycle, residual), additive or multiplicative, with a weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly cycle. | |
