# Cursor

> Add Fincept MCP to Cursor and sign in.

  <Step title="Add the server">
    Add `fincept` to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` for every project, or to `.cursor/mcp.json` in one repository:

    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Open Cursor's MCP settings. `fincept` shows that it needs a login; start it and approve the connection on fincept.in. Cursor receives the sign-in through its own `cursor://` callback.

  <Step title="Use it">
    Ask in Agent mode, for example: "Using Fincept, compare the 1-year returns of SPY and QQQ."
