# Codex

> Add Fincept MCP to the Codex CLI and sign in.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add the server">
    ```bash theme={"dark"}
    codex mcp add fincept --url https://enterprise.fincept.in/mcp
    ```

    Codex detects that the server uses OAuth and opens the browser. Approve the connection on fincept.in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check">
    ```bash theme={"dark"}
    codex mcp list
    ```

    `fincept` shows as enabled with OAuth.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  `mcp add` already signs you in. Running `codex mcp login fincept` right after starts a second sign-in, which is harmless: Codex keeps the newer one.
</Note>

## Configuration file

`mcp add` writes this to `~/.codex/config.toml`:

```toml theme={"dark"}
[mcp_servers.fincept]
url = "https://enterprise.fincept.in/mcp"
```

To list whole toolsets up front, append them to the URL, for example `https://enterprise.fincept.in/mcp?toolsets=market,data`.

## Sign in again or sign out

```bash theme={"dark"}
codex mcp login fincept
codex mcp logout fincept
```

<Tip>
  Windows PowerShell 5.1 does not accept `&&`. Run each command on its own line.
